High Tensile Strength Basalt Fiber Chopped Strands for Concrete Reinforcing, compared with different types of reinforcing fibers, Pasia Basalt fibers have achieved the best overall technical and economic benefits in fiber-reinforced concrete and maintain a leading position among natural mineral fibers. They are made from short-cut basalt fibers produced by our company. Tests conducted by international research centers and the application effects of the products in actual projects have both confirmed this.

Basalt chopped strands are essential products for:
Eliminate large concrete surface cracks;
Make reinforced concrete structures achieve stability and toughness when bearing different loads;
Reduce the backflow during shotcrete application;
Improve the wear resistance of the concrete surface;
Enhance the frost resistance and waterproof performance;
And accelerate the drying process of large concrete blocks.

 

Basalt Fiber Chopped Strands are short with cut lengths of continuous basalt fiber, typically ranging from 3 mm to 100 mm. The raw material is natural volcanic rock (basalt), which is melted at around 1450–1500°C and extruded through platinum‑rhodium bushings to form continuous filaments. After cutting, the strands retain all the outstanding properties of continuous basalt fiber, making them a high‑performance, eco‑friendly inorganic non‑metallic material.

· Composite Materials – Acts as a reinforcing filler in sheet molding compounds (SMC), bulk molding compounds (BMC), and other composite systems.

· Transportation & Industrial – Used for reinforcing automotive, railway, and marine components; also applied in friction materials, high‑temperature filter fabrics, and thermal insulation materials.
