Calibration Application Context

 

The neck extension/flexion test requires a precisely characterized deceleration pulse. As specified in ASTM F3016-14, the impactor nose must have zero stored energy before impact and no elastic rebound after impact . Aluminum honeycomb uniquely satisfies this requirement, providing a "crush and stop" behavior that foam or spring-based systems cannot replicate .
